Everyone has missed a birthday by three hours. You remembered in the morning, the day swallowed you whole, and by the time you texted it was already night. The Scheduled message exists for exactly that: you write today and choose precisely when the phone will ring.
How it works
While creating your message, pick the day and a time in half-hour slots. Calls go out between 8 am and 6 pm, Brasília time, and you can schedule from 1 hour to 90 days ahead. Yes, 90 days: your mom's birthday in November can be settled this very afternoon in August.
Pay, get your confirmation by email, and your part is done. On the agreed day the operator gets on the line, introduces herself, says who sent the message, and delivers it.
What if nobody picks up?
We don't give up on the first try. There are up to 3 attempts, at different hours. On the first two, if the call hits voicemail, we hang up without leaving anything and try again later; only on the last attempt do we leave the recorded message there. If the line stays silent through all three, the choice is yours at no cost: reschedule for another day, or get a full refund.
For those who can't wait
Scheduled has a sibling called Rush: the call goes out within minutes of payment. It's the message for "I just heard the news", for the apology that can't sleep on it, for the "landed safely" to someone worrying back home.
